In order to bring their vision for the iconic ‘Centre Point’ building to life, Almacantar commissioned The Neighbourhood to collaborate with an elite team—Rick Mather Architects; Conran & Partners; Hat-Trick Design; and Eley Kishimoto. The Neighbourhood approached us to create two unique apps, a website and a cinematic teaser film.
Centre Point is a true London icon. A stunning example of modernist architecture the building was conceived by legendary architect Richard Seifert in the midst of London’s swinging 60’s. Almacantar have reinvented the tower as a mixed use residential development comprising of 82 of London’s most sought after and exclusive apartments.
This is quite simply London’s hottest property, designed to appeal to a very particular clientele and the cinematic teaser was crafted to convey the prestigious, premium nature of the Centre Point offer. Models—in clothes designed using fabric printed with Eley Kishimoto’s patterns (inspired by the shapes occurring in Centre Point’s architecture)—were filmed exploring local, parks, cafes, museums, shops and night life in the adjacent Soho, Covent Garden and Fitzrovia areas. Aerial shoots allowed us to capture the hustle and bustle of London and to reveal just how geographically central Centre Point really is. A calm, concrete retreat in the centre of one of the busiest Cities in the world. A bespoke soundtrack by BAFTA award winning composer Daniel Pemberton accompanies the piece.
We also created two apps. The first works as a digital brochure/sales tool which Almacantar agents can use to communicate the buildings meticulously crafted finish to prospective investors. The second app, a unique 360 experience allows the user to explore London’s skyline as viewed from Centre Point’s stunning penthouse suite. The huge resolution 360 degree image can be panned, zoomed into and investigated in minute detail with accompanying commentary on key landmarks and areas of interest. See the film below (excuse the pace, it’s a live recording of somebody using the app).
